July 4, 2001: Bill Tomerson Makes Worst iMovie Ever
On typically hot day in July, Bill Tomerson decided to break out his digital camcorder. Video was taken of Bill's five and seven year children enjoying ice cream, watermelon and fireworks.
Despite the cameras built in stabilizer Bill's continued consumption of beer left the film shaky. To compound the shakiness problem Bill used the zoom feature far too much often slipping into the forbidden realm of digital zoom. Accompanying the horrible videography was a semi drunken real time voice over. On the tape, Bill's voice is overbearing when compared to the ambient sounds of the movie.
Undeterred by the films inherent shortcomings Bill fired up iMovie and edited the footage. The scenes begin and stop inexplicably but the children were impressed when they saw themselves on the television (the film was ported to iDVD). Other viewers of the video were not as impressed and found excuses to leave when the movie was played.
Bill Tomerson unknowingly made the worst iMovie of all time on July 4 of 2001.

I want to see it! This could be the next big Internet meme! Bill’s poor kids living on in infamy. Happy 4th.
