Description

Apple’s first scanner was a flatbed 16 level grayscale scanner. It was capable of resolutions between 75 and 300 DPI. The scanning area was that of an A4 page, 8.5” x 14.” It took about 20 seconds to scan a page.

History

The Apple Scanner formed an important piece of the “Macintosh Office,” giving users the ability to scan documents at home. Although it was a big advancement, the Apple OneScanner would soon replace it.
