eMac (ATI Graphics)

Introduced: May 2003
Terminated: October 2003

Description

The eMac (ATI Graphics) offered increased speeds and a faster ATI Radeon 7500 graphics card than the original model.  Running a G4 PowerPC 7455 v3.3 processor at 800Mhz or 1.0Ghz, this eMac, like its predecessor, combined the styling of the iMac with the power of G4 and a 17” screen.  The three configurations were available with a 32x CD-ROM or a CD-RW/DVD-ROM or a 4x SuperDrive and with 40, 60 or 80Gb of hard drive space.  AirPort Extreme was supported.

History

The eMac (ATI Graphics) had only a few improvements over the previous model.  Beyond the speed increase, the new graphics card and the AirPort Extreme support, the only difference was the new low-end model.  The low-end model was $799, the midrange was $999 and the higher-end was $1299.
