ImageWriter LQ
Introduced: August 1987
Terminated: December 1990
Description
The ImageWriter LQ, like the other ImageWriter printers, was a dot matrix printer. It had a print resolution of 320 x 216 DPI and could print a page in about three minutes. It was a single color printer, though a four-color ribbon could be used. An expansion card could be used that allowed the ImageWriter LQ to be networked via AppleTalk.
History
In contrast with its predecessor, the ImageWriter II, the ImageWriter LQ was not as reliable and was noisier. However, its compatibility with both Apple and Macintosh lines made it very popular in schools.

Hey, do you remember those daisy wheel printers? They are even more obsolete.. it’s really interesting to read something like this, it reminds me of what great distance had to be covered to reach today’s technology, with thermal and UV printers… this thought makes me appreciate what I have the chance to own now even more, from my modern microwave oven and my surround sound system to the Acqua Di Gio perfume I can offer my girlfriend and my shaver with individually floating heads.
Thanks so much for this! I have not been this thrilled by a blog post for quite some time! You’ve got it, whatever that means in blogging. testking 640-461 // testking 642-681 // testking 650-393 // testking 646-656 // testking 640-721 // testking 642-611 // testking 642-631 // testking 642-974 //Anyway, You’re definitely someone that has something to say that people should hear. Keep up the wonderful job. Keep on inspiring the people!
