Description

Bringing the new click wheel technology that debuted in the iPod mini earlier in the year, the iPod (Click Wheel) was available with either a 20 or 40Gb hard drive. The case on this fourth generation iPod was slimmer than previous models.  It had a 2-inch LCD that had blue-white LED backlighting.  It shipped with earbud headphones, a FireWire cable and a USB 2.0 cable.  The 40Gb configuration came with a dock.

The iPod (Click Wheel) was the fourth generation of iPods.  The most streamlined design yet, all of the control buttons were now located on the scroll wheel, a design praised for its ease of use and appearance.  The price of the 20Gb model was lowered to $299 in this release and the 40Gb model was lowered to $399.
