Description
The LaserWriter 8500 was a laser printer running an AMD 29040 printer at 60Mhz. It used the PostScript Level 3 interpreter and communicated via LocalTalk, bi-directional Parallel port or Ethernet. It also had an SCSI port. It could print up to 20 pages a minute with a DPI of 600.
History
The last in the long line of LaserWriter printers, the LaserWriter 8500 was also the most powerful in the line. It had the quickest processor, the most memory and also the most advanced PostScript interpreter. The LaserWriter 8500 was designed for high volume work and had the ability to print pages in A3 format.
