Description
Like the other LaserWriter printers, the LaserWriter IIf was an electrophotography-based printer. The processor was a Motorola 68030 capable of 20MHz. It used the PostScript interpreter (updated to version two) and could communicate with the network via LocalTalk or PCL 4+ (for non-Macintosh computers).
The LaserWriter IIf could print up to eight pages per minute at a resolution of 300 DPI.
History
The LaserWriter IIf was Apple’s newest offering in the LaserWriter line. It was an upgraded model of the LaserWriter IINTX that offered the new update to PostScript and better compatibility in a network.
