Description

The Macintosh LC III offered many advancements that were missing in the LC II.  It ran a 68030 processor at 25MHz.  The hard drive came with between 80 and 160MB of space.  The 4MB of RAM was upgradeable to 36MB.  It included a PDS slot that had been redesigned for the LC III.

History

The LC II was one of the most competitively priced Macintoshes at $750.  It also included a number of upgrades over the LC II.  The LC III ran at the same speed as the much more expensive IIci.

The Macintosh LC III was also sold as the Performa 460, 466 and 467.  The only difference in these models was an increased processor speed.
