Description
The Power Macintosh 5400 ran a PowerPC 603e processor at between 120-200Mhz. It had a hard drive of either 1.2 or 1.6Gb, a 4x or 8x CD-ROM and 1.4Mb floppy drive. There was 8 or 16Mb of logicboard RAM and the RAM could be expanded to 136Mb via two DIMM RAM slots. A 15-inch multiscan monitor was built-in and it had built-in microphone and speakers.
History
The Power Macintosh 5400, also sold as the Performa 5400CD, was initially only released to education buyers. It had a number of port options and it was the first in the LC line to use DIMM slots to expand the RAM. It was the first Mac to have SRS surround sound support.

Timeline
